City of Waukee issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.
The W.T. and Edna M. Dahl Trust recently awarded the Waukee Betterment Foundation a $50,000 grant to help with the building of the all-inclusive recreation area in Waukee's future Community Park & Sports Complex that will include a Miracle League™ Field, an all-Inclusive playground and an ADA-accessible fishing pier.
“Thanks to the W.T. and Edna M. Dahl Trust, we are excited to be making progress toward our fundraising goal for the all-inclusive area. This Dallas County project will be an attraction for local, regional and national individuals and families," says Waukee Betterment Foundation Board Member Todd McDonald. “We are grateful for this generous support which helps to make our project possible.”
