West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Nov. 25.
Athene USA, a leading provider of retirement savings products based in West Des Moines, has earned both the 2020 Military Friendly and Military Friendly Spouse Employer designations, representing the top tier of institutions who provide the best opportunities for military service members and spouses. In addition to its efforts around hiring veterans, Athene provides several ways for employees to actively engage with the veteran community. The Athene Military Veterans Organization coordinates volunteer events, donation drives and visiting speakers to build awareness and engagement for veterans’ affairs. Other Greater Des Moines-based companies recognized on the 2020 Military Friendly Employer list were Principal Financial Group and TMC Transportation.
