CITY OF WAUKEE: Ben Sinclair Appointed to City Council

City of Waukee issued the following announcement on Feb. 18.

Ben Sinclair was appointed to the Waukee City Council following a special application and interview process. He also received the third most votes in November’s city council race. Sinclair was sworn in to office by City Clerk Becky Schuett at the Tuesday, Feb. 18 city council meeting. He will fulfill the remainder of Mayor Courtney Clarke’s previous Waukee City Council term, ending Dec. 31, 2021. 

Sinclair, a software engineer, is a West Des Moines native. He and his family have lived in Waukee now for 10 years. 

The Waukee City Council is made up of five at-large members, and regular meetings are held the first and third Mondays of each month at City Hall at 5:30 p.m.
