City of Waukee issued the following announcement on Feb. 27.
The Waukee Police Department is accepting applications for new and certified officers! Waukee police officers protect life and property in the City of Waukee through law enforcement and crime prevention.
Apply online by March 25. Mandatory testing for applicants will take place Saturday, April 18.

Certified officers will start at $26.85 hourly ($55,848 annually) - $27.92 hourly ($58,073 annually)
Non-certified police officers will start at $26.85 hourly ($55,848 annually). After successful completion of the police academy, wages may increase.
Benefits include health/dental/vision, life insurance, long-term disability, vacation, sick leave, holidays and IPERS.
