City of West Des Moines issued the following announcement on May 26.
Weekly collection of large and extra items at the curb has resumed. Spring Cleanup, originally scheduled for the week of June 1 - 5, has been postponed.
Metro Waste Authority facilities also are available for residents' disposal needs.
The most convenient drop-off location is the Metro Northwest Transfer Station in Grimes. Beginning Saturdays in May residents may bring typical household garbage and large items between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM for a fee.
