City of West Des Moines issued the following announcement on Aug. 12.
Despite the major storm that caused so much damage in Iowa on Monday, West Des Moines crews were able to stay on schedule and open the following streets to traffic by 2 p.m. on that day:
- Mills Civic Parkway from South 81st Street to South 88th Street
- South 88th Street from Coachlight Drive to Cascade Avenue
- South 85th Street from Cascade Avenue to Mills Civic Parkway
- Cascade Avenue over to South 85th Street; and
- Booneville Road from South 88th Street to SW 100th Street
