CITY OF WAUKEE: Change Your Clocks and Change Your Batteries

Time 1000x667

City of Waukee issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.

Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday, Nov. 1 at 2 a.m. The Waukee Fire Department urges residents to install fresh batteries in their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors as they make the rounds updating clocks to the new time. Most people tend to adjust their clocks before bedtime Saturday evening; make time to swap out the other device batteries, too. Most alarms and detectors are powered by a single 9-volt battery.
