CITY OF WAUKEE: Gov. Extends and Modifies Proclamation Requiring Masks, Limiting Gatherings

City of Waukee issued the following announcement on Dec. 9. 

Gov. Kim Reynolds extended a Public Health Disaster proclamation that imposes a number of public health measures to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. These measures are now in effect statewide and will continue until through Jan. 8, 2021. Read the proclamation.

Some highlights include:

Mask Use: Indoor spaces open to the public and State executive branch buildings

  • Masks required when individuals are within 6 feet of one another for 15 minutes or longer with certain exceptions
Gathering Restrictions: Social, community, business or leisure gatherings

  • No more than 15 people indoors and 30 people outdoors
  • These restrictions apply to wedding receptions, family gatherings, conventions, and other nonessential gatherings but do not apply to gatherings that occur during the ordinary course of business or government.
Updates were made on Dec. 9 to elective surgery restrictions, "last call" for businesses serving alcohol, youth sports and spectator numbers at youth sports. These will be in effect at least Dec. 10-16, 2020. See the full details here.
