Rising home prices in Waukee in the first half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Waukee rose by $17,950 while total sales increased by 4300%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 220 homes sold, with a median sale price of $277,950 - a 6.9% increase over the $260,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in Waukee in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Waukee for the most recent year with available data, 2017, was $4,080, approximately 1.5% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
