Library Serves More Than 2,000 with Summer Reading Program

Waukee

City of Waukee issued the following announcement on August 07.

The Waukee Public Library’s 2021 Summer Reading Program is all wrapped up! There were 1,241 children, 432 teens and 479 adults who participated. 

This year’s theme was “Tails & Tales”. The program ran from June 1-July 31. Staff distributed more than 2,000 free books to participants. Those who submitted reading logs also were entered to win prizes such as gift cards, Blank Park Zoo memberships, Lego sets, veterinarian toy sets, donations made in their names to animal-related organizations and more.
