Fans at Iowa State told actor Ashton Kutcher to "take a shower" by chanting during his appearance at ESPN's College GameDay in Ames on Sept. 11.

Kutcher was invited as the guest picker on ESPN’s College GameDay to weigh in on the face-off between Iowa State University Cyclones and the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, his alma mater, according to Yahoo. However, his predictions were frequently drowned out by Iowa State fans in a series of “take a shower” chants.

"GameDay is at Iowa State today but their guest picker was Iowa fan, Ashton Kutcher. Iowa State fans drowned him in 'take a shower' chants," Barstool Sports said in a tweet

The chants began when he arrived at Jack Trice Stadium and continued through the entirety of the panel. In addition to Kutcher's hygiene habits, the chants were brought about due to the rivalry between the Iowa State Cyclones and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The chants come after a Kutcher revealed in an interview in July that he and his wife Mila Kunis do not wash their children unless they can see the dirt on them, sparking an online debate as well as commentary from other celebrities on their shower habits, according to Yahoo

Kutcher's prediction that the Hawkeyes would upset the Cyclones came true, with a final score of 27-17.
