Iowa's Attorney General Tom Miller said he's running for reelection.
Miller is currently America’s longest-serving attorney general. He was first elected in 1978, according to WIZM News.
"So happy to hear that @AGIowa Tom Miller is running for re-election," Matt Lammers said in a Twitter post. "He is a person of integrity and has been very diligent in fighting for and representing the people of Iowa."
His first time serving lasted until 1991. He was reelected in 1994 and has been serving as attorney general ever since, according to WIZM News.
Miller is currently serving his 10th term. If reelected for 2022, he would serve his 11th term, according to an article by The Iowa Torch.
The Republican Party did not nominate a challenger in 2018 to oppose Miller, according to The Iowa Torch.
The list of issues he wants to continue to work on if reelected includes participating in how Iowa spends funds from opioid settlements and antitrust cases involving Facebook and Google, according to WIZM News.
According to The Iowa Torch, Miller announced that he would run for reelection in 2022 at the Polk County Steak Fry.
