Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds' job approval rating increased according to a new poll.
The governor’s overall approval rating is 53% in this new poll, according to KCCI News.
The increase in her approval rating has been attributed to her handling of the economy and education, according to KCCI News.
In June, her approval rating was 51%, according to The Hill.
Within the GOP, 91% of registered Republican voters approve of Reynolds’ job overall, according to The Hill.
In the new poll, 57% approve of the job she’s doing with the economy, 31% disapprove and 12% are not sure, according to the Des Moines Register poll.
That's up from June when 55% of Iowans approved and 36% disapproved, the Des Moines Register reported.
Additionally, Reynolds receives strong ratings for her handling of schools and education, according to the Des Moines Register poll.
However, her ratings on how she's handled the pandemic are decreasing, according to the Des Moines Register poll.
In total, the poll was of 805 adults and was performed Sept. 12-15.
The poll results have come out as Reynolds approaches a "likely reelection campaign," although she has not yet announced her decision, according to the Des Moines Register.
Those who have declared so far, from the major Democratic candidates, are state Rep. Ras Smith of Waterloo and business owner Deidre DeJear, according to the Des Moines Register.
