Human remains were recently found in Iowa, along with clothing matching the description of Xavior Harrelson, an 11-year-old boy who has been missing since May, according to ABC News.
A farmer discovered the remains Oct. 1 in rural Iowa, a few miles outside of Montezuma.
“Xavior Harrelson Update: Human Remains Could Be Missing Iowa Boy,” Twitter user Gisvig Blog tweeted.
The state medical examiner concluded the remains, which were found in a grassy field, were human and most likely those of an adolescent, according to Mitch Mortvedt, assistant director of the Iowa's Division of Criminal Investigation.
Mortvedt also stated that the remains had been in the field for a "substantial" amount of time and that the documentation process at the site would be "very slow and meticulous," likely taking weeks.
Harrelson's disappearance occurred May 27, only a few days before his 11th birthday; he was last seen wearing blue pajama bottoms, black tennis shoes and a red T-shirt, according to NBC News.
