City of Waukee recently issued the following announcement.
As a reminder, the use of consumer fireworks within the Waukee city limits is illegal, with the only exceptions being on July 3 and 4 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.

A person, firm, partnership or corporation who violates any provision of this section commits a simple misdemeanor punishable by a fine not less than $250 per violation.
