Gov. Kim Reynolds of Iowa is scheduled to present her annual State of the State address Tuesday, Jan. 11, according to an Iowa Office of the Governor release.

Reynolds announced on Jan. 3 that she would deliver her address from the House chamber of the State Capitol in Des Moines, Iowa, and that the presentation would be broadcast live online, ABC 6 News reported.

"Iowa PBS will be providing a livestream online, and it can be watched on the Governor’s Facebook Page," according to the release. "Satellite coordinates will be released closer to the address."

Reynolds is scheduled to outline her legislative goals for the year during her address, which is scheduled to take place one day after Iowa lawmakers convene for the 2021 legislative session, according to a Des Moines Register report.

"One week away!" Reynolds announced on Facebook. "... Be sure to tune in to hear my bold priorities to keep Iowa moving!"

Reynolds introduced the Invest in Iowa Act at last year's State of the State speech, which intended to raise the state's sales tax by one cent to help fund income tax cuts, water quality improvements and mental health programs.

The bill, however, was suspended owing to fiscal concerns generated by COVID-19.

Reynolds' office has indicated that the bill may be reintroduced this year.
