City of Waukee recently issued the following announcement.
After a long hiatus, the Waukee Police Department’s WASP (Waukee Area Seniors & Police) program will resume on Wednesday, March 30 at 9 a.m.
Officers encourage seniors to stop by the Community Center for coffee and breakfast.
The program will continue to take place on the last Wednesday of every month at 9 a.m.
This program is designed to help reduce criminal victimization of the elderly.
