City of Waukee recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Waukee recently welcomed two new Building Inspectors, Jason Slycord and Mike Wright. Slycord and Wright join the Community Development Department amid a period of record economic development and residential construction. They will assist the department by inspecting new commercial and residential construction projects.
Before joining the City, Jason Slycord worked as a Master Electrician with 29 years of experience in the field. He and his wife Sheiry have been married for 26 years and have two children, Devon and Ryann. They also have a bulldog and two boxers that keep them very busy. In his free time, Jason enjoys playing cards, bass fishing and tournament fishing.
Mike Wright comes to the City as a Master Electrician with 30 years of experience working as both an electrician and inspector. He has also served as a volunteer firefighter for 15 years. Michael lives with his wife and two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
