City of Urbandale recently issued the following announcement.
Sojourner Truth’s "Ain’t I a Woman"
Date and Time: January 29, 2022, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Location: Urbandale Public Library at Meeting Room A/B
Judge Romonda D. Belcher will be presenting Sojourner Truth’s "Ain’t I a Woman" speech which was originally given at the Women’s Convention in Akron, Ohio in 1851. Judge Belcher will share other details about this historical figure and her involvement with the suffrage movement.
