City of Waukee recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Waukee received two Iowa Concrete Paving Association (ICPA) Awards for outstanding concrete paving projects completed in 2021. The Warrior Lane Improvements Phase 1 Project won the Urban Arterial/Collector Portland Concrete Cement (PCC) Paving Project (< 15,000 SY) Award. The NW 10th Street Improvements project won the Municipal Street/Intersection PCC Paving Project (> 15,000 SY) Award. The City thanks the ICPA for recognizing the City and its project contractors with this recognition.
Waukee Mayor Courtney Clarke, City Council Members and staff would like to thank the Warrior Lane project partners that assisted in helping improve traffic flow at the key intersection of Warrior Lane and Ashworth Road. The Iowa Department of Transportation awarded Waukee a combined $1.77 million in grants for these street improvements. Shive-Hattery completed the project design. Concrete Technologies, Inc. and their subcontractors built the project.
Waukee Mayor Courtney Clarke, City Council Members and staff would also like to thank partners on the NW 10th Street project that helped expand NW 10th Street to suit travel to the new Northwest High School, Triumph Park and Stratford Crossing neighborhood. Foth Infrastructure and Environment, LLC completed the project design, and Absolute Group and their subcontractors built the project.
