Crisis Intervention and Advocacy Center leads a free workshop to equip parents and caregivers with accurate information and skills to promote healthy behaviors and respond to children's questions.
While there is much information made available to parents and caregivers about children’s development generally – including physical, mental, and emotional – adults frequently know less about what to expect of children’s sexual development. This increases the likelihood that adults will respond to children’s behaviors and questions in ways that communicate blame and shame.
This free workshop offered by the Crisis Intervention & Advocacy Center is intended to give parents and caregivers accurate information about children’s sexual development as well as help develop the skills and comfort to promote healthy behaviors and respond to children’s questions.
This training is part of the evidence-based curricula supported by Prevent Child Abuse Iowa and the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault. Please contact the Crisis Intervention & Advocacy Center at 1-800-400-4884 with any questions about this workshop.
Registration is required.
