The Waukee City Council will conduct a public hearing on the proposed Fiscal Year City property tax levy at 5:30 PM on February 21 at City Hall (Zoom available). Any resident or taxpayer may speak in support of or present objections to the proposed tax levy. After adoption, the City Council will publish notice and hold a hearing on the proposed city budget.
The proposed FY24 budget recommends MAINTAINING the current levy of $9.78 plus $3.32 Debt Service for a total levy of $13.10 per $1,000. Potential loss of revenue due to the State miscalculation of residential rollback prevents a tax reduction for FY24.
