National Police Week is celebrated annually during the week of May 15. This week serves as a designated time to honor and celebrate police officers and the important work they do in our nation's communities. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation designating May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which it falls as National Police Week.
