The City of West Des Moines invites you and your family to celebrate National Public Works Week on Thursday, May 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Farmers Market in Valley Junction. All the action takes place in the 300 block of 5th Street!
West Des Moines Public Services staff will be on hand to answer questions and help children of all ages explore the big equipment employees use every day to repair streets, plow snow, maintain parks and sewers, and care for our City’s trees. Games, a balloon artist, face-painting and a variety of free activities will also be available for everyone to enjoy.
So please join us for this annual FREE family event and learn more about what your Public Services Department at the City of West Des Moines is all about!
National Public Works Week is a celebration of the tens of thousands of men and women in North America who provide and maintain the infrastructure and services that make our cities better, safer places to live, work and play. This year's theme is “Connecting the World!”
