2.8% of citizens unemployed in Dallas County in 2021

Dallas County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.8% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 1,539 people out of the 96,604 living in Dallas County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Dallas County has decreased compared to the 3.2% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Dallas County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 3.9%.

Of the 53,393 people who had a job during that time, 64 were employed in the Armed Forces and 53,329 belonged to the civilian labor force.
