Waukee High School standouts Jackson Payne and Matt Irvine’s college team won in NCAA Division I baseball game on Saturday, April 12

Matt Irvine and Jackson Payne

On Saturday, April 12, former Waukee High School standouts Jackson Payne and Matt Irvine’s current college team, the Southern Illinois Salukis, won 16-9 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Indiana State Sycamores.

The game took place at Bob Warn Field. This was their second matchup against the Sycamores this season.

The Salukis’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, April 13 at 1 p.m. at Bob Warn Field against Indiana State Sycamores.
