On Saturday, March 1, former Waukee High School standout Luke Gainer’s current college team, the Omaha Mavericks, lost 8-0 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Kansas Jayhawks.

The game took place at Equity Bank Park. This was their third matchup against the Jayhawks this season.

The Mavericks’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, March 2 at 12 p.m. at Hoglund Ballpark against Kansas Jayhawks.
