Former Vice President Mike Pence will be at the University of Iowa on Nov. 1 for a lecture that is a part of a Young America's Foundation event. As part of this travel schedule, he will also be visiting several other campuses, including Texas A&M University.
"Pence back to IA. Prospective 2024 GOP candidates still acting as if IA will be first. (Not that they have a reason not to) #InvisiblePrimary #GOP24," Twitter user Josh Putnam tweeted Oct. 2.
The former vice president has remained active with conservative organizations after President Donald Trump's administration concluded its time in the White House in January, Politico reported.
Iowa is traditionally where presidential candidates face an early test of public support.
This will be Pence's second trip to Iowa, according to Politico. The first was when he attended the Faith & Freedom Summit. Two other states that are crucial for the presidential nominating contests are South Carolina and New Hampshire, and Pence has visited them as well.
